This work has been transcribed from a paper titled "Saline Area Soldiers in the Civil War" by David H. Peck (1986). A copy may be found in the Local History room at the Saline District Library.

The following service records are mainly comprised of soldiers who lived in Saline or Lodi Township, or enlisted at Saline. Also listed are certain soldiers who resided in Washtenaw County and enlisted at Fort Wayne, as there are many who enlisted at Fort Wayne before enlistments began at Saline.

Wick, William: Lodi. Enlisted in Stanton Guards 5/4/1862 at Ann Arbor for 3 years, age 20. Mustered in 5/6/1862. Mustered out at Detroit, 9/25/1865. Stanton Guards used to guard prisoners at Mackinac Island, Michigan; later disbanded.
Willets, Adelbert: Saline. Enlisted in Company B, 20th Michigan Infantry, 7/28/1862, at Ypsilanti, for 3 years, age 22. Mustered in 8/16/1862. Mustered out at Delaney House, Washington, D.C. 5/30/1865.
